We’re passionate about supporting all sectors of our community, providing opportunities that have a positive impact on people’s wellbeing. Here’s how we help you:
Children & Young People
We support the local holiday programme, SPACE, ensuring local children have access to affordable fun activities during the school holidays. We deliver large-scale events, giving children those inspirational and memorable experiences. Our creative, sports and physical activity services run bespoke projects in schools and during the holidays. We also work closely with organisations such as Princes Trust and South Staffordshire College, supporting young people’s skills development and training.
Older Adults
We run a number of activities for older adults, including sessions in our facilities, such as a walking sports programme and our Chase Fit activity scheme. We understand that your deteriorating health or being alone, makes it harder to get motivated and start something new. Our staff are on hand to help you through the door, so when you leave you feel relaxed, confident and wanting more!
Community Groups
Groups that serve our local community are an essential part of our residents’ support networks. That’s why we make sure that the groups themselves are given the help they need. We can provide training, advice and guidance in key areas such as marketing, event management, and health and safety. Community churches to Friends of groups, our staff have vast experience in making sure that these groups can function and provide their vital services.
Access & Inclusion
Anyone with a health, physical or learning need can access activities across all our facilities and services. We offer dedicated ‘just for you sessions’ designed specifically for additional needs and ‘inclusive’ sessions that welcome everyone. If an individual needs assistance to participate to ensure their safe involvement, hygiene and welfare needs are met, we invite their carers to participate and have fun too. The Prince of Wales Theatre also operates an Essential Companion Scheme. If you are in receipt of certain benefits, you can access a leisure centre membership for a reduced cost. This means you can come to the gym, swim, other exercise classes.
