Our summer theatre school, produced and ran by Ambient Night Productions, is a fantastic opportunity for children aged 7-16 years to rehearse, perform, have fun, make friends and create memories that will last for years.

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein!

Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a  lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Workshop

This years summer workshop production runs from Monday 5th August to Friday 16th August 2024 (excluding weekends)

10:00 – 16:00 daily.

£150 per child (discount for additional siblings)

Members will need a packed lunch or parental permission to leave the theatre at lunch time.

The final production will take place on Saturday 17th August 2024, 7:30pm at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock. Tickets: £10 -available from the theatre box office.

Auditions

Auditions will be held at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Saturday 27^th July from 10am onwards. Auditions are for those who wish to try out for a lead role. Once you have booked your place on the workshop, you will be contacted to arrange an audition time. You do not need to audition to join the cast – only if you wish to try out for a lead role.
