The ‘Inspired Outdoors’ programme aims to empower the community to improve their physical, mental and social health and wellbeing through accessing and experiencing the natural benefit Selby area offers.

What does it cost?
Our sessions are FREE or a nominal fee. We are a charity who reinvest all profits back into our facilities and services. We also work with community organisations who help us to make these opportunities happen for our Selby residents!
Community Walks
We work with Selby Town PCN to offer 4 walks every week.
Enjoy the beauty of Selby and come along to one of our walks that take place throughout the week. The walks are a great opportunity to enjoy the open air, have fun and get in some gentle exercise.
There’s no need to book, simply turn up to any of the locations to take part.
Each session is accessible to everyone over the age of 16 (under 16’s welcome with a parent or guardian). Well behaved dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. If you require support or care worker, please feel free to bring them along.

Couch to 5k
We work with Selby Striders to offer a Couch to 5k programme in the spring and summer months.
Looking to start running but struggling with your fitness and confidence? The Couch to 5k programme might be just the thing for you!
The 10 week programme includes 2 sessions per week led by England Athletics qualified coaches.
The goal is to complete Selby Park Run as group with the friend that you’ll make along the way! You’ll receive second to none support and even opportunities to progress once the course has ended.
