Calling all families looking for a fun, free summer adventure! The enchanting Chase Creatures Augmented Reality Trail has finally found its forever home at Marquis Drive.

The trail features an array of friendly characters known as the ‘Chase Creatures’, each representing one of the important messages of the Cannock Chase Code. These captivating creatures were designed by local schoolchildren in collaboration with professional artists and the Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Partnership.

After a successful community testing day in May, the virtual trail is now open to children and families seeking an interactive and immersive experience on Cannock Chase. All you need to embark on this new adventure is the Cannock Chase Can App, where the Chase Creatures Challenge awaits.

The Challenge invites users to explore the beautiful Marquis Drive, collecting all 12 characters along the way. Detailed instructions are available under the Move Well and Naturally Well themes on the app.

Students from South Staffordshire College have lent their voices to the characters, bringing them to life with their unique charm and personality. The objective of this project is to foster appreciation and understanding of Cannock Chase’s exceptional qualities while encouraging its preservation for future generations.

It was wonderful for the children, who took part in the creative design element of the project, to see their work come to life at the event in May. This initiative has been funded by the Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Partnership and Cannock Chase Cultural Education Partnership, as part of the broader Cannock Chase Can programme.
