Schools: Cannock Chase
Cannock Chase District facilities and services offer schools a wide variety of activities and opportunities to support the curriculum and encourage the development of students.
School Swim Programme
Our school swim programme supports schools to meet the curriculum target of ensuring pupils can swim at least 25 metres unaided by the time they leave primary school. Our inclusive programme is underpinned by our dedicated swimming instructors who nurture the personal development of children whilst providing a fun and safe experience. Learning to swim isn’t just about making a splash and badges, it offers an opportunity to shape and develop vital life skills you take into adulthood.
Museum Education Programme
Our award-winning education programme offers a range of tours linked to the national curriculum. Our tours relate to our collections, local history and environment and cover themes that include Coal Mining, World War Two and the Home Front, Toys and the Stone Age. Our educational visits are full of fun and informative activities for children with a wide range of abilities and knowledge.
Sports & Arts Opportunities
Our specialist staff can support your school in developing physical activity and creative offers, as part of, or outside of, the curriculum. From recommending artists and professional coaches to running targeted project work within your school. We link to wider partners and use creative approaches to support schools to tackle issues such as mental health, healthy lifestyles, as well as the opportunity to take part in Districtwide projects.
Staff Wellbeing
We understand the wellbeing of your own staff is important. We offer corporate memberships that can have a positive impact on the individual and your school. We can also deliver bespoke sessions with our own Wellbeing team from Body MOTs for staff to inset training days that focus on self-care and support. Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles is a key partner providing engagement opportunities within schools, as well as large scale events. The partnership can support your school with Arts Mark and access the District’s primary arts co-ordinator network.
