HFE to support IHL with specialist health and fitness training

We are delighted to announce that we’re partnering with specialist health and fitness industry training provider, Health and Fitness Education (HFE), to deliver additional training to IHL fitness professionals.

At the heart of our vision are three core values that help our people and service users to achieve, and to create a community and sense of togetherness.

As part of our ongoing commitment to raise general health and wellbeing, and to better support those with long-term illnesses and conditions, HFE will deliver specialist in-person training to our Health and Wellbeing Team, enabling the growth of our IHL By Referral provision. HFE have an extensive track record for excellence, serving an array of health and wellbeing teams and NHS Trusts.

Within the Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral course, the team will complete a high-quality and fully-comprehensive programme including rich, digital content presented by leading exercise referral experts, plus a series of tutor-led classroom and practical workshops that are custom-designed to support the professional services offered by our team.

Once qualified, the fitness professionals will have the specialist knowledge, skills and confidence to support those living with long-term medical conditions.

The IHL By Referral programme offered by our team has proven to make a real difference to the lives of those who have long-term medical conditions, which could be improved through adopting regular exercise and healthy lifestyle choices. Increasing access to quality health and wellbeing sessions is essential to help the community to become more active, and to provide the essential tools to lead a healthy lifestyle.

HFE is a highly-respected training provider to the active leisure sector, who provide a wide range of fitness instructor, Pilates teacher training and personal training courses.

HFE’s courses lead to Ofqual-regulated qualifications and are aligned with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) Professional Standards.

Andy Sim, Wellbeing Service Manager for IHL in Selby said:
