After careful and thoughtful consideration, the Trustees of Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles have taken the difficult decision to cease operating leisure, wellbeing and culture services. Over the next 12 months the Board of Trustees will review the Charity and consider how it can evolve. This decision has been made in accordance with the charity’s governing document and in line with Charity Commission guidance.
Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles was established in 2003 and built on a simple but powerful belief: that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthier, happier life. Over the years, the charity became far more than a provider of leisure, culture and wellbeing services — it became part of the fabric of local communities. For many, it was the place they learnt to swim, made fresh starts, renewed confidence and shared moments of achievement. Lives were changed quietly and consistently through our encouragement, care, and human connection.
This impact was made possible by the unwavering commitment of staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who believed in the charity’s purpose and gave their time, energy, and compassion to others. The Trustees are immensely proud of what has been achieved together. While the charity’s work has now paused, the relationships built, the confidence gained, and the positive habits formed will continue to live on in the people and communities Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles was honoured to serve.
