Safeguarding
IHL aims to inspire communities to lead a happier, healthier, and more creative lifestyle. For our communities to do so, they need to feel safe when in our facilities and accessing our services. Our priority is therefore safeguarding the welfare of everyone.
We have a Safeguarding Policy which details fully what our team members are required to do if they have safeguarding concerns. This policy also sets out how we work with our partners to ensure that this policy is adhered to.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and acknowledge our shared responsibility for safeguarding. We are committed to promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults at risk and will act when concerns are raised with us.
If you are worried about a young person or vulnerable adult when visiting our sites or using our services, please notify any member of our team. All our team members are fully trained and will take the next steps required.
If you or the person you are concerned about is in immediate danger, please call the emergency services on 999.
We take all reports of safeguarding concerns seriously. Even if you’re not 100% sure, or just have some suspicions, it’s always best to speak to someone.
