Selby Leisure Centre – Pool Closure

Selby Leisure Centre – Pool Closure

All Customers

As many of you may know, we have been experiencing ongoing problems with our boilers, which has affected both our pool temperatures and hot water over the last few months.

We have been working closely with North Yorkshire Council and work to install new boilers at Selby Leisure Centre will begin on Monday 8 July and take a maximum of two weeks.

Unfortunately, this will mean the pool will be closed during this period and we will not have any hot water in the changing rooms. The gym and studios will remain open as normal.

We apologise for this inconvenience, but the work is needed and as you may appreciate, given the size of the pool, new boiler installations on the scale required isn’t something that can be fitted quickly.

Should the work be completed ahead of schedule we will re-open the pool and recommence bookings.

If you have already made a booking during this period, it will be automatically cancelled.

Don’t forget that as part of your membership you also have access to Tadcaster Pool including access to Early Swim, Public Swimming, Adult Lane Swim, Width Swim and Parent and Toddler sessions. To access the pool simply check the timetable first and once at reception show that you have an ‘Active’ Direct debit membership with us via your IHL App.

Simply go into the App, tap My Account and then My Membership to prove you have an active Direct Debit.

Or why not spend a spot of time in the gym. Our qualified instructors can design you a tailored programme for your needs. Speak to our reception team to find out more.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We apologise for this inconvenience, but the work is needed and as you may appreciate, given the size of the pool, new boiler installations on the scale required isn’t something that can be fitted quickly. Learn to Swim customers who miss out on their lessons during the closure will receive a credit which will be added to your account to cover the cost of cancelled lessons. This will then be deducted from your August Direct Debit payment.

Should the work be completed ahead of schedule we will re-open the pool and recommence bookings.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
